Welcome message from ISDS President
To all Delegates, PASFI Board members, ISDS Board members and PDS Board members,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 40th ISDS Annual meeting, a joint Congress with PADSFI. The Philippines has hosted the ISDS Spring meetings on two occasions, the first in 2008 at Boracay and the second in 2014 at Cebu. These 2 spring meetings were very successful not only in the number of participants, content and program but also reflected the nice true spirit of ISDS wherein friends all over the world shared their knowledge and wisdom. It was only natural to again choose the Philippines to now host the main annual meeting, our 40th Ruby year.
It is my hope that the success of the prior meeting will not only continue but will be surpassed during this milestone event. In this congress, I look forward to not only the forging of new alliances, genuine sharing of information and techniques but also the continued growth of partnerships and friendship as we pursue our quest in the field of dermatogic surgery.Sincerely,
Kai Munte, MD
Welcome message from ISDS Congress President
Dear Distinguished Colleagues and Friends,
“One small step for man, a giant leap for mankind”. With those words, Astronaut Neil Armstrong, the Commander of the Apollo 11 space mission, became the first man to step on the Moon on 20 July 1969.
That was 50 years ago.
40 years ago, the International Society for Dermatologic and Aesthetic Surgery (ISDS) was founded as a worldwide forum for dermatologic surgeons to exchange innovative techniques and work for standardization and improvement of training programs.
And with the greeting of “Mabuhay!” the Philippines, the "Pearl of the Orient" welcomes you as it is honored to be hosting our 40th Congress.
With much excitement and hard work, I together with all the Committees involved, have come up with a program which continues on the founding vision of ISDS. For the next 2 days, the luxurious Edsa Shangri-La Hotel would serve as our venue for continuous learning, as well as fostering our camaraderie and friendship which extends beyond borders and cultures. World-class Faculty composed of international and distinguished speakers are here with to provide the delegates with fresh perspectives as they learn about the latest trends and developments in our field.
I am confident that the hospitality of the Filipinos, together with the detailed planning that went into organizing this Event, and with everyone’s participation, would make this 40th Congress the best yet.
It is my pleasure to welcome all the Speakers and Delegates to this Congress.
Ma. Cristina A. Puyat, MD
